Silque Co. was founded by optometrists with a shared passion for eyecare, fashion, and meaningful impact.

Every day, we see how something as simple as clear vision can transform a person’s confidence, independence, and quality of life. At the same time, we’ve always been drawn to fashion as a form of identity and expression. Bringing these two worlds together has always been a dream - and Silque Co. is the realisation of that vision.

It’s a way for us to give back to the community.

Through our Eyecare Program for Refugees, we provide free eye tests, glasses, and ongoing care to individuals and families arriving in Sydney from Gaza, many of whom have had little to no access to eyecare.

This initiative is funded through:

  • Sales of our Keffiyeh Hat
  • Pay-it-forward contributions from our community

With your support, we’ve already helped over 100 refugees and multiple families, and we’re just getting started.

We know how hard it is to find a hat that fits over the hijab, so we designed the Silque Bucket Hat to specifically fit over your hijab. It features: 

1. Large sizing that accounts for the hijab and hair bun. 

2. Smooth satin lining, that assists in wearing the hat over the hijab with minimal effect on your hijab style. If worn directly over the hair- it helps protect from frizz, dryness, and friction. 

3. Adjustable drawstring for adjustable sizing and securing the hat. It is most suited for a circumference of: (head + hijab+ hair bun) of 62-66cm (24-26inches). 

4. 100% outer cotton for breathability.

I love my bucket hat so much. It was packed wonderfully too and comes with its own silk dust bag. It sat on my head perfectly and would accommodate biggish buns nicely. (I wear a medium sized bun)
